The Belt and Road Research Institute of Beijing Normal University(BRRI), has actively carried out work on think tank academic research, international exchange, and talent training. The Institute has published many articles and books on the Belt and Road Initiative(BRI), and held forums and lectures related to the BRI. In the past 5 years, the Institute has cultivated many outstanding future leaders for the Belt and Road countries.
The Institute has established a global research network of think tanks on Belt and Road. It has closely cooperated with some research institutes in conducting Belt and Road research, including Harvard University(USA), Nazarbayev University (Kazakhstan), and Saint Petersburg University(Russia). In order to actively promote joint international research, it has established several platforms with think tanks in Japan, Belarus, and Kazakhstan: the China-Japan Belt and Road Joint Research Center, the China-Belarus Belt and Road Joint Research Center, and the China-Kazakhstan Belt and Road Joint Research Center. The Institute has worked with more than twenty former political leaders from the Belt and Road countries and senior managers(presidents and vice presidents) from regional development banks to conduct research on Belt and Road.
The institute has conducted a series of high-quality theoretical research which has received high recognition domestically and internationally, including books published both in Chinese and English, such as The Comprehensive Development Report of the Countries along the Belt and Road, Asia 2050, Central Asia 2050, Africa 2050, China and Emerging Markets, The Belt and Road and Globalization Transformation, and Review of the Belt and Road.
