Xinhua Institute primarily focuses on policy researches on major domestic and international is- sues. With a global vision, the institute organizes international forums and conducts academic co- operation and exchanges with think tanks around the globe.
The Academic Board works as the governing body of the institute, with Mr. Cai Mingzhao, President of Xinhua News Agency, serving as the President and the Chief Researcher.
The institute consists of six research centers--the National Realities and Strategies Research Center, the Global Issues Research, the Economic Research Center, the Public Opinions Research Center, the Public Policy Research Center and the Communication Strategies Research Center.
